Audiovisual Material 1978-2000; 1983-2000.

This series consists of audiovisual materials used by the ELCA World Hunger Program. They are from 1978-2000, but the bulk of material is from 1983-2000. The collection is composed primarily of VHS videotapes, but there is one filmstrip with an accompanying cassette and study guide. The videos are a collection of ELCA and non-ELCA produced material. A number of videos were produced on behalf of the ELCA World Hunger Program and other videos were used as resource material for educating people about domestic and world hunger, their root causes, and what was being done to combat them. There are also videos highlighting some of the projects the ELCA provided funds through hunger grant programs. In addition to these videos, there are two videotapes of proceedings from the ELCA World Hunger Leadership Gathering held at Augsburg College, Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1994. This series includes videos highlighting the work of the ELCA, Lutheran Church in America (LCA), The American Lutheran Church (TALC), Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Lutheran World Relief (LWF), Lutheran Social Services, Church World Service, and several non-ELCA related church bodies and not-for-profit organizations. Videos produced by the ELCA include ones for MOSAIC, the ELCA's video magazine, ELCA World Hunger Appeal stewardship, and the Stand With Africa campaign. The material is arranged by church body or organization, and then alphabetically by title. Unless noted, individual items listed are VHS cassette tapes.
